Echinacea is traditionally used for immune stimulation during acute inflammatory infections such as colds and flus. It may bring relief from sore throats when used at first sign of infection. Echinacea is also effective as an external anti-inflammatory, expediting wound healing and helping with boils, pustules, bug bites, poison oak and poison ivy. Echinacea has been used to successfully treat oral thrush and yeast infections.*
